Thank you for following and reading my posts.
I believe sharing our stories and experiences connects us at the heart and as a result our mind is empowered & encouraged.
A little about me:
I’m originally from Ethiopia & Eritrea and currently reside in USA with my husband and two kids. I graduated with my Masters in Divinity/Theology & Counseling from Regent University and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from George Mason University.
During the summer of 2007, I felt an urge to pursue ministry. I wrestled with the calling for a few months. “Is God really calling me? Or will I be in ministry through my husband (by the way I was not even dating at that time but growing up I hardly saw any females ministers). Nevertheless, I knew deep down in my Spirit the LORD was calling me, Meron. I embraced my calling. Got accepted into Seminary. August 2008, I quit my lucrative job in corporate America, packed my Blue Volkswagen and took off to pursue my calling. The journey was both challenging and empowering. There were days I doubted myself and wanted to give up but one thing I knew was if I was called to do anything, then I needed to do it with “excellence”.
Currently I work as a chaplain at a local hospital and do some freelance accounting work (I’m an accountant by trade).
Current Ministry Interests:
How to improve & create effective youth and young adult ministries keeps me up at night.
